Consultation on rapid methods for antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AMST) at point of-care
A consultation on rapid methods for AMST at point-of-care was held on February 15th 2019 in ICMR headquarters to understand the landscape of available AMR diagnostic in the country and to stimulate the access of suitable rapid diagnostic tools for AMST at all levels of healthcare, with an emphasis on point of care.

A technical advisory group (TAG) meeting on rapid methods for AMST at point-of-care was held on November 15th 2019 in ICMR headquarters to start key areas and guide task force on each deliverable. Consultation of the TAG on AMR diagnostic included presentations of members and ICMR representatives.

Expert group (1st) meeting on ‘Target product profiles (TPP) for Diagnostics of Sepsis and Neonatal Sepsis’
First expert group virtual meeting on ‘TPP for diagnostics of sepsis and neonatal sepsis’ was held on November 24th 2020 in ICMR headquarters. Meeting included the technical advisory group (TAG) on AMR diagnostics and other expert TAG to achieve consensus on characteristics of ‘TPP for the rapid diagnostics for sepsis and neonatal sepsis’ after 1st round of Delphi survey.
Expert group meeting to review ‘Diagnostic proposals received under call for proposals for rapid methods for antimicrobial susceptibility testing at point-of-care’ and ‘Target Product Profiles (TPP) for rapid diagnostics for typhoid’
A virtual meeting was held on July 16th 2021 in ICMR headquarters to provide an update to the experts group on proposals shortlisted under ‘Call for proposals for diagnostics/tests applicable to AMR especially for primary and acute care settings.’ The progress on field feasibility studies for two rapid UTI diagnostics was discussed in the meeting. The characteristics of ‘TPP for rapid diagnostics for typhoid after 1st round of Delphi survey was discussed in the meeting.
Cost-effectiveness studies for rapid AMR diagnostics
A meeting with Health Technology Assessment (HTA) unit of DHR was held on July 16th 2021 in ICMR headquarters, presented study objectives, methodology and study plan to undertake HTA for two rapid UTI diagnostics shortlisted in AMR diagnostics call for proposals

Second expert group virtual meeting on ‘TPP for diagnostics of sepsis and neonatal sepsis’ was held on September 14th 2021 in ICMR headquarters. The meeting included the technical advisory group (TAG) on AMR diagnostics and other experts to achieve consensus on characteristics of ‘TPP for the rapid diagnostics of sepsis and neonatal sepsis’ after 2nd round of Delphi survey. Two proposals on rapid diagnosis of neonatal sepsis and typhoid were reviewed in the meeting.
