Principal Investigators meeting
A meeting of the project principal investigators was held on December 16th 2020 to brief about the broad activities to be performed in the project and were asked to develop an action plan.
Overview of ICMR-Pfizer initiative, objectives and project timelines
ICMR-Pfizer meeting was held in ICMR headquarters on February 27th 2021 to discuss about project initiatives and timelines. Dr. Purva Mathur, Dr. Nitin Bansal, Dr. Stuti Gupta and Dr. Omika Katoch were the invited experts.

Project Implementation presentations
Meeting of the project principal investigators of all mentor centres was conducted in ICMR headquarters on April 9th 2021. Dr. V. Lakshmi Nag, Dr. S. Singh, Dr. C. Mukhopadhyay, Dr. V. Ramasubramanian, Dr. V. Balaji and Dr. S. Bhattacharya chaired the meeting and important recommendations and future steps were discussed.
Train The Trainers workshop (TOT)
A meeting for ‘Train the Trainers Workshop’ was held with project principal investigators of all mentor centres on June 24th & 25th 2021 in ICMR headquarters.
Principal Investigators Monthly Meeting
Meeting of the principal investigators of 11 mentor centres was held on September 10th 2021 in ICMR headquarters to discuss their project implementation plans, challenges and future plans.
Sensitization Workshop
A sensitization workshop was organized with each mentoring centre for their participating hospitals and nursing homes from August 27th to September 28th 2021 in ICMR headquarters.

Principal Investigators Monthly Meeting
A Meeting of the principal investigators of 11 mentor centers was held on October 28th 2021 with ICMR core team. All principal investigators brief about their project progress for (Hospital Assessment Form, Sensitization workshop and Baseline assessment form). A discussion was made for the inclusion of some antibiotics and pathogens in the baseline assessment, challenges faced in collecting data for project activities.
Principal Investigators Monthly Meeting
A meeting of the principal investigators of 11 centers was held on 28th February 2022 with ICMR core team. All principal investigators brief about their project progress. It was recommended to prepare a panel of drugs for antibiogram development in small hospitals (NH/ DH).
Workshop on Antibiotic consumption
A workshop on antibiotic consumption (Defined Daily Dose (DDD) & Days of Therapy (DOT)) was organized on 28 February 2022 by ICMR headquarters. Dr. Nitin Bansal (ICMR, Consultant) delivered the workshop, Principal investigators of all mentor centers, Nodal persons from participating NH/DH and ICMR core team attended the workshop.
Pfizer advisory meeting held on 7th Dec 2018 at ICMR Hqs, New Delhi to discuss the surveillance initiatives, current status of surveillance network of ICMR, Pfizer’s experience with ATLAS surveillance, surveillance initiatives under CARE, stewardship initiatives and public awareness campaign
Indo-German Cooperation in Health Research - Workshop on AMR
Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi and Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Germany jointly organized an Indo-German workshop on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) during 18-19 January, 2018 at ICMR headquarters. Eminent Scientists from India and Germany, working in the areas of antimicrobial resistance, host-pathogen interaction and antibiotics participated in the deliberations. The German and Indian scientists and officials emphasized on the need and urgency for research in the area of AMR. Suitable recommendations for joint collaborative research on AMR were given after due discussions.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr NK Ganguly, Former Director General, ICMR.
Dr Martin Goller, Head of Unit, South Asia/ Southeast Asia, German Aerospace Centre, DLR Project Management Agency, Germany spoke about the ICMR-BMBF collaboration and Dr Hansjoerg Hauser, Head, Department of Scientific Strategy, Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI), Germany, briefed about the ICMR-HZI cooperation.
